Jamaican born Lois Samuels started her Collection the Vessel. by lois during New York Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2010 Presentations.
Drawing inspiration from traditional tailoring and the utilitarian lines of the uniform, the collection creates a clean silhouette that blends streamlined comfort with feminine ease which she believes is the foundation of what fashion should represent.

Her Collections has since been featured in Italian Vogue, Elle, L’Officiel, Clam, Ebony, Uptown Magazine and WWD - Women’s Wear Daily.Lois entered the world of fashion as a model, where she traveled the fashion capitals of the world working for designers as Lacroix, Miyake, Mugler and Ralph Lauren and shot for magazines Vogue, Essence and Marie Claire. After shooting the CKOne Campaign with photographer Steven Meisel she went on to have a career that has lasted long over a decade.

She has also published two books “A Glow in the Dark” (LMH Publishers) a story that shared her experiences as a model. As well as “Jamaica through my eyes” (Mcmillian Publishers) a book of photographs and poetry where she shared the beauty of her island home, Jamaica.
She is currently working on a series of children’s books.
